Yesterday was one of the best days in my career. I knew it was going to be extremely tough against a great champion like Venus, but I knew I had a good chance. Even though I had never beaten her before, I believed in myself and obviously it was an amazing feeling to come through.

I've talked a lot about how the crowd has helped me this week. When I walk onto the court and experience the atmosphere in the stadium I get goose bumps. There is so much energy, and that gives you adrenaline. In the past I wasn't always able to use it effectively, because I'd be so excited I'd sometimes over-hit. But now that I am used to it I can use that positive energy to my advantage. Although the crowd's support is often an important part of progress at a tournament, I never look at the whole stadium during the match itself - I just sometimes look at my team. If I were to take a step back and see all the people watching the match, I would lose focus. Only when the match is over can I enjoy it, and look directly at the crowd. I occasionally watch the replays on the big screen: it can help to watch how I am moving - sometimes I notice I'm making a mistake with my movement, so I can work on that in the next game.

After a memorable match like yesterday's a member of my team will often ask me about a specific point. "Remember that backhand stop volley at 3-3?" "How about that forehand you hit in the second set?" I don't remember any of it! I'm just enjoying the tennis, the excitement of the competition, and afterwards I can't recall these points, at least not without giving it some serious thought.

I never used to watch my own matches but I started doing it from time to time last year, to see what I was doing well and what I needed to work on. But there wasn't time to watch yesterday's match again - I have a very important semifinal to play this afternoon.

Last night I had a room service dinner and watched Federer. He's my favorite player to watch - we can all learn a lot from him. I understand he's a very specific player when it comes to racquets and surfaces. Personally, I'm the opposite - I'm not very good at describing court conditions, and not particularly fussy when it comes to string tensions, etc. I'm not the best analyst either; before my match against Venus I was thinking that the serve would be one of the key factors. As it turned out, we broke each other so many times, especially at the beginning of the match.

I've had some thrilling matches in my short career. Yesterday's was one of the best. I'm not sure I'd call it my best ever win though - I'm really pleased with how I played against Martina Hingis in the Montréal final two years ago.

In my press conference after the match a journalist asked if I had a boyfriend. I get this question quite a lot. The answer is currently "no". Because of my job, it's difficult to meet men in a romantic context. I'm never in the same place for more than two or three weeks, which doesn't help. One interviewer automatically thought that I'm too focussed on tennis and I don't have time for a boyfriend but that's not the case. I'm happy being single for now, but I'm sure that if I meet the right man, and he feels the same way about me, we could make it work.

I love the winning, I can take the losing, but most of all I love to play.

Невозможно - это не приговор. Это вызов! Невозможно - это шанс проверить себя. Невозможно - это не навсегда. НЕВОЗМОЖНОЕ ВОЗМОЖНО!!!
